Exodus 15:1-2 Then Moses and the people of Israel sang this song to the Lord, saying, “I will sing to the Lord, for he has triumphed gloriously; the horse and his rider he has thrown into the sea. The Lord is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation; this is my God, and I will praise him, my father’s God, and I will exalt him.”
This passage makes me miss Sunday church at Westminster. I reminds me of the song we sang at church, “O Sing to the Lord” Hymn #637 from the Presbyterian Hymnal. It is not necessarily my favorite song, but it does make me miss my home church. I really miss the people in my church back in Madison. I miss understanding service every Sunday, and the choir singing. It is going to be a while before I will be able to understand a Sunday morning church service. I know that we are this path for His purpose, but today I am missing my comfortable and routine life back in the states—being able to call my mom or best friend to just say hey (through FaceBook, Skype, and WhatsApp help a ton with this), it is just not the same. But I have been given the gift of seeing a good friend in Paris tomorrow, though the gift was really for Anjali, I get to cash in on it too because Nadia’s mom is also a great friend of mine. : ) So tonight we pack and get a good night’s sleep so Anjali and I are ready for a long day of traveling tomorrow.
